1. Overview

The HCXGW-12 outdoor high-voltage ring main unit is a complete set of electrical products developed by summing up the experience of safe and reliable operation of switch-equipped branch boxes and combining with the technology of distribution network automation system.It is suitable for China's national conditions and represents the domestic advanced technical level.The HCXGW-12 outdoor high-voltage ring main unit installs and commissions 12KV switchgear,power PT cabinets,feeder FTUs,RTUs,communication control terminals,metering and automatic meter reading devices,UPS power supplies,etc.into a movable,sealed and moisture-proof stainless steel or non-metal box.This shortens the construction period and realizes the integration of primary and secondary systems and modular assembly in urban distribution networks.

3. Structural Features

The outdoor ring main unit is composed of the HCBXGN series gas-insulated switchgear with fully insulated and fully sealed structure and an outdoor cabinet.The outdoor cabinet has strong corrosion resistance;its surface has no fasteners for disassembly,featuring good anti-theft performance,with an IP43 protection level and strong rainproof performance.

The top cover is designed as a double-layer structure with an air interlayer.The outer layer has a drainage slope and is equipped with ventilation openings;the air inlets are set at the bottom and sides of the cabinet,and detachable dust-proof filter screens are provided.The interior of the cabinet forms a bottom-to-top air convection,enabling the cabinet to have good heat insulation and ventilation effects.The cabinet is equipped with a sealed floor at the cable inlet to prevent moisture in the cable trench from entering;the contact parts between the door and the cabinet are all sealed with sealing strips.After opening,a windproof device is provided to facilitate fixing the door during operation,and the door lock has a rainproof structural design.

The switchgear inside the cabinet has been properly installed and tested before leaving the factory.After being transported to the site,only the cabinet needs to be hoisted to the required position,featuring simple installation and small floor area.

4. Enclosure Material Types

The materials of the outdoor cabinet can be designed as required,and the common types are:

1.Stainless steel shell-Made of stainless steel,the conventional plastic spraying color is State Grid green,and other colors are optional.

2.Landscape-type shell-Made of stainless steel,landscape-type wood wool strips,etc.,are embedded around the cabinet,and the plastic spraying color is optional.

3.GRC shell-Non-metallic shell,made of special cement mixed with glass fiber and other materials by cement mortar casting.
