Product Description
1. Overview
MNS is a low-voltage switchgear assembled in the factory using standard modules. It is suitable for AC 50/60Hz, rated operating voltage below 660V, and rated current up to 6300A in power distribution systems, used for power distribution, conversion, control, and reactive power compensation.
MNS switchgear frames are made from imported high-quality aluminum-zinc coated steel plates or high-quality cold-rolled steel plates. Components are connected by self-tapping locking screws or hex screws. According to design requirements, corresponding doors, sealing plates, partitions, mounting brackets, busbars, and functional units are added to assemble a complete device. The dimensions of components and compartments inside the device are modularized (modular unit E=25mm). As a new generation of low-voltage withdrawable switchgear, MNS low-voltage switchgear is technologically advanced, stable in performance, reasonably structured, easy to use, safe, and reliable. It has been widely used in power distribution systems in power generation, construction, steel, cement, mining, petrochemical industries, and more.
The design and manufacturing strictly follow national standards such as IEC60439(1992) "Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies" and G/14048.1-93 "General rules for low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies." Additionally, MNS switchgear complies with German standard VDE0660 Part 5, British standard BS EN60439, and American NEMA standards.
2. Product Features
1. Reasonable structure and high technical level. The rated current carrying capacity, breaking capacity, and dynamic and thermal stability performance indicators of MNS switchgear are higher than other models of low-voltage switchgear. It is also easy to maintain, safe, and reliable.
2. Good protection performance. MNS is a fully isolated switchgear. The internal compartments meet the requirements of IEC439-1 "Form 4," and the enclosure protection ratings are IP31, IP40, and IP54.
3. Reliable interlocking. The anti-misoperation interlock of MNS is completed by the circuit breaker operating handle mechanism and the mechanical interlock of the drawer position. Its design is precise and highly logical, effectively preventing various possible misoperations. It can also flexibly realize interlocking between cabinets combined with operating modes.
4. Complete schemes and convenient combinations. MNS uses 8E as the basic unit. Functional units include 8E/4, 8E/2, 6E, 8E, 12E, 16E, 24E, 32E, and 72E. A single MCC cabinet can accommodate up to 36 functional units and supports mixed PC and MCC configurations, providing favorable conditions for reducing the number of cabinets and flexible scheme selection.
3. Operating Environment
a. Ambient temperature: The surrounding air temperature should not exceed +40°C, not be lower than -5°C, and the average value measured over 24 hours should not exceed +35°C.
b. Ambient humidity: The air should be clean. At the highest temperature of +40°C, the relative humidity should not exceed 50%. At lower temperatures, higher relative humidity is allowed, for example, 90% at +20°C, but moderate condensation may occasionally occur due to temperature changes. c. Temperature range from -25°C to +55°C is suitable for transportation and storage, with short-term exposure (≤24h) up to +70°C.
d. Altitude not exceeding 2000 meters.
e. Seismic intensity not exceeding 8 degrees.
f. Pollution degree: Level 3.

5. Structural Features
The basic frame of the low-voltage switchgear structure is a modular assembly structure. The cabinet sealing plates use high-quality cold-rolled steel plates. All frames, internal partitions, and functional units use high-quality imported aluminum-zinc coated steel plates. During processing and shearing, the aluminum-zinc film automatically covers the shear edge with the shear blade, giving the shear edge strong self-healing ability, preventing corrosion or rust. Other metal structural parts of the cabinet made of cold-rolled plates are galvanized for corrosion protection.
The low-voltage switchgear uses C-type upright columns assembled with steel self-tapping screws and grade 8.8 bolts. It has sufficient mechanical strength to ensure no shaking or deformation during operation after component installation. Each cabinet inside the switchgear is divided into three compartments: horizontal busbar compartment, functional unit compartment, and cable compartment. Compartments are separated by high-strength flame-retardant environmentally friendly plastic functional boards and aluminum-zinc coated plates.
MNS uses 8E as the basic unit (E=25mm). Functional units include 8E/4, 8E/2, 6E, 8E, 12E, 16E, 24E, 32E, and 72E. A single MCC cabinet can accommodate up to 36 functional units and supports mixed PC and MCC configurations.
MNS switchgear has the following types of cabinets based on usage and cabinet structure
① PC cabinet: Mainly installs frame circuit breakers or high-capacity fuse switches, generally used for incoming line switchgear and high-current distribution outgoing line cabinets.
② MCC cabinet: Mainly installs molded case circuit breakers, contactors, thermal relays, or low-capacity fuse switches, generally used for motor control centers or low-current distribution centers.
③ PC and MCC mixed cabinet: The switchgear part is PC circuit, part is MCC circuit, using a mixed structure to improve the installation efficiency of cabinet components and reduce the number of switchgear cabinets.
④ Reactive power compensation cabinet: Mainly installs low-voltage power capacitors and their corresponding control circuits, used for low-voltage reactive power compensation in the system.
